EXTENSION OF ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

due to on-going expressed interest in the 42. Linguistics Colloquium, we announce the extension of the abstract submission deadline to May 30th 2007

1st CALL FOR PAPERS
We are pleased to announce that the 42nd Colloquium of Linguistics will be held at the University of the Aegean, in Rhodes – Greece, on September 27-30, 2007.

This year the focus will be on Language Diversity and Language Learning: New Paths to Literacy and papers may address issues like:

language diversity / bilingualism and learning
second language learning and learning through a second language
language diversity and the emerging of literacy
German as a second and foreign language
Greek as a second and foreign language
English(es) and the other languages
first, second, foreign language at the school
new technologies in teaching / learning languages
language education
language policy.

Interested colleagues are hereby invited to submit abstracts of papers (20 min presentation, 10 min discussion) relating to the colloquium’s themes. Abstracts (300-500 words) should be submitted by April 15, 2007, in the form of a PDF or a MS Word file, fonts: Times New Roman 12pt. They may include references but not bibliography.
